One of Stardew Valley's biggest appeals is its large cast of characters for the player to befriend. Each villager has their own personality and thus their own likes and dislikes when it comes to items they can be gifted. While there are some items that are almost universally loved and liked, it's helpful to know what other items are liked by specific villagers. Krobus is unique in that he is a character that essentially has to be unlocked and he isn't even human. Regardless, the mechanics for getting him to like the player are the same as any other resident of Stardew Valley.
To even meet Krobus though, players will first need to gain access to the valley's sewers. In order to do this, 60 items must be donated to Gunther's museum. Once that has been accomplished, Gunther will show up the next day to give players the Rusty Key which will give players access to the sewers either from the southernmost part of Cindersap Forest, or through the entrance in the middle of the town by the graveyard.
