Fans might not have to wait much longer for their first look at the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 if an insider's account is to be believed. 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a breakout hit among EA’s divisive run of licensed Star Wars games, so much so that developer Respawn wasted no time in announcing not only a sequel, but an entire series centered around former Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis and his quest to try and restore the old Jedi Order during the reign of the Galactic Empire. The first of these sequels was officially revealed alongside two other EA-published Star Wars titles in a press release back in January.
Virtually nothing else has been shown or revealed about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s sequel so far, aside from the fact that it is indeed in development, but leaks have suggested that it could have a different title altogether. Fans have speculated that the plot to the next Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order game could tie into this year’s Kenobi Disney Plus series, and that the next installment could take Cal’s story in a darker direction in the tradition of Star Wars sequels like The Empire Strikes Back and The Last Jedi. Fans are eagerly awaiting the first official footage of the darker Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel, with the game being one of EA's most highly-anticipated.
