A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the Star Wars franchise became a juggernaut and a source of endless entertainment. Although strictly a film series at first, Star Wars has since expanded into the realm of television, books and even video games. For the past several decades, numerous Star Wars video games have been released across a variety of platforms, resulting in a plethora of options for nearly any interest.
Modern gamers have the benefit of Star Wars games being remastered or ported to current platforms to make them even more accessible than ever. The Nintendo Switch has received a good number of these ports as well, including Star Wars Episode 1: Racer and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. That being said, there are still a good number of releases that have yet to make their way to Nintendo's hybrid console. While the Switch arguably can't handle more technically demanding games like Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, there are others that would still be great to have on the go.

Although EA has rebooted the Star Wars: Battlefront series in recent years, there are still legions of players who prefer the original versions released during the PS2/Xbox era. The multiplayer modes, both online and split-screen, made for hours of action packed gameplay, allowing players to create their own intense intergalactic battles. The novelty of being able to hand a friend a Joy-Con and instantly engage in a deathmatch would be hugely compelling.
During the launch of the Nintendo 64 and the jump into the 3D era of gaming, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire was one of the front-runners and immediately impressed with the technology on display.
