The development team behind the upcoming Star Trek: Resurgence has opened up about the U.S.S. RESOLUTE, the Federation Centaur-class starship players will be commanding. New studio Dramatic Labs unveiled Star Trek: Resurgence during December’s Game Awards 2021 livestream, showing off a brief trailer of the choice-based gameplay that the developers have carried over from their past work on Telltale titles like The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series, The Wolf Among Us, and Batman: The Telltale Series. In Star Trek: Resurgence, players will take the roles of First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz as they work to unravel the mystery of two warring alien civilizations aboard the RESOLUTE a short time after the events of the beloved Star Trek: The Next Generation television series.
Following Star Trek: Resurgence’s official unveiling at The Game Awards 2021, many of the talented minds behind the upcoming title have discussed the game’s setting and gameplay in interviews. Star Trek: Resurgence will present players with the kinds of difficult moral choices that have defined the long-running Star Trek franchise over the years, and there will be plenty of spaceship battles and phaser combat to go along with the usual space exploration and social-political intrigue. Of course, no good Star Trek experience is complete without a memorable space vessel, and the developer team at Dramatic Labs has shed some light on the U.S.S. RESOLUTE that players will take command of in Star Trek: Resurgence.
