Nintendo appears to have another hit on its hands as the recently released Splatoon 3 has already hit some big numbers. The inky shooter soared passed 3.45 million units sold in Japan alone through the first three days of its release. That that number just represents a small fraction, the popularity is evident which is a good sign for Nintendo as the company has big plans for the game moving forward in the form of Splatfest events.
While fans got a sneak peek prior to Splatoon 3's launch, giving players an early chance to try out the Tri-Color Turf War, Nintendo announced the first official post-launch Splatfest. Taking place on September 23 through 25, players will be picking from Gear, Grub, or Fun. While the general idea of Splatfests remain the same as it was in the previous two games, Nintendo has added a few new things to them inSplatoon 3.
