Southern Charm: Leva Bonaparte Interview
Leva Bonaparte made her debut as a full cast member in Southern Charm season 7. Fans previously saw her on the show as formerSouthern Charm star Cameron Eubanks' friend. Following Cameron's departure after season 6, Leva entered the cast and shook things up. As a Persian-American married to a Black man with a bi-racial son, she became Southern Charm's first cast member that was a person of color. During her first season, Leva found herself addressing many racial issues on the show.
The Southern Charm season 7 cast dealt with the fallout of Kathryn Dennis' problematic tweet toward a Black radio host. Kathryn didn't know why the monkey emoji was offensive to Black people and claimed that her intent was not racially charged. However, Leva, along with season 7's «friend of» Venita Aspen, had to explain to Kathryn why it was offensive. During a monumental moment, Charleston removed a statue of John C. Calhoun, who was Kathryn's ancestor and a supporter of slavery. Southern Charm season 7 even captured Leva and Venita attending the emotional event.

Southern Charm season 8 is set to debut on Thursday, and fans can't wait to see what the cast members bring.
