PlayStation giant Sony has said that it will be releasing more than ten live-service projects by the end of the 2025/26 financial year.
In post-earnings comments, the firm said that it was going to working on these games in collaboration with Bungie, which it just bought for $3.6 billion. These projects won't be limited to PlayStation platforms either; SIE has said that it will be bringing games to other platforms, too.
"Through this acquisition, we intend to acquire new users and increase engagement on platforms other than PlayStation, which will enable us to significantly advance our long-term growth strategy of further expanding the ecosystem of our game business," Sony wrote.
"Catalysed by the acquisition of Bungie, we intend to accelerate the growth of our first-party game software revenue, aiming to more than double the current amount by FY25."
This comes in the wake of Sony bringing some of its first-party titles – such as Horizon: Zero Dawn and God of War – to PC. Apparently, a number of PlayStation studios lobbied to bring their games to other platforms.
