Sony has announced its new Festival of Play for PlayStation Plus. In this new event, PS Plus subscribers will be able to gain discounts and special rewards in loyalty programs, as well as enjoy a free game trial. PlayStation 5 owners who do not participate in the program will get the opportunity to play online for free, try their luck in a contest, and participate in tournaments.
PlayStation Plus is Sony’s subscription program, which offers hundreds of PS4 and PS5 games for gamers every month, besides allowing them to play online. The program comes with different plans, including Essential, Extra, and Premium. These different tiers offer unique perks, such as cloud storage, exclusive content, and more, like the PlayStation Plus Collection.

The PlayStation Plus Festival of Play is starting right now and will continue until February 24. Today, Premium or Deluxe subscribers of the program will get the opportunity to test the new God of War Ragnarok for three hours. Another highlight of the festival is the unique digital collectibles available in the PlayStation Stars Campaign, the PS5’s loyalty program. Finally, subscribers can also participate in the Double Discount promotion, which will allow them to get games with more discounts if they are PS Plus members.
However, even people who do not own a subscription to PS Plus can engage in a few activities during the event.
