The massive success of Minecraft following its initial release in 2011 turned Mojang's open-world sandbox game into a worldwide phenomenon. The block-based open world game has been one of the most popular games in the world since its release and has remained near the top of streaming sites like Twitch with many creators becoming internet icons through the game. Among the first big wave of YouTube creators to make it big through the game would be one of the game's most recognizable stars over its entire life, Adam «SkyDoesMinecraft» Dahlberg.
SkyDoesMinecraft first rose to fame during the early 2010s with Minecraft fans quickly latching onto the personality as his channel would grow to over 12 million subscribers at its peak, at the time ranking among the top 100 most-subscribed creators on YouTube. However, SkyDoesMinecraft's burgeoning YouTube career has taken multiple twists and turns since his peak with the creator temporarily dropping the SkyDoesMinecraft moniker entirely and shifting to music. Now, with recent allegations of abuse and sexual harassment swirling over the former Minecraft creator, a recent listing on social media marketplace FameSwap shows that Dahlberg is looking to part with the account.

A listing posted just under a month on FameSwap shows the SkyDoesEverything YouTube channel for sale with the channel's over 11 million subscribers making it one of the largest YouTube channels up for sale on the website. While the site does not currently show any offers for the channel, the main account has been listed for sale for a hefty sum of $900,000.
