Sean is the boss of the second level in Sifu. After making their way through the Club, the player will encounter Sean and another individual in the middle of a mysterious ritual known as 'The Burning.' Afterwards, the player and Sean face off in a one-on-one.
Sifu is styled after films like Old Boy or Dragons Forever. The player plays as the child of a sifu (or martial arts teacher) who was murdered by a former student. With the former student were four other accomplices, one of which was Sean. After eight years of training, the player character is now on the hunt to take down the five responsible for the murder.

In the other phase, Sean will try to knock the player back, either with a shoulder check or by thrusting the staff forward. In phase one, all of Sean's attacks can be dodged by holding down L1 and pushing the left stick down. This, along with moving the left stick upwards, will be the player's key to martial arts mastery in Sifu.
