Rebel Wilson wakes up from a coma after 20 years in the trailer for Netflix’s new comedy, Senior Year. Since her introduction to Hollywood in Bridesmaids, Wilson continues to have a successful career with memorable roles in Jojo Rabbit, The Hustle, and the Pitch Perfect franchise. In early 2021, it was revealed Wilson was set to embark on her newest comedy venture with the film Senior Year. Directed by Alex Hardcastle, Senior Year follows an adult woman (Wilson) who attempts to relive her high school days when she was once a popular cheerleader. Wilson shared an official first look at the movie in February, as well as a set photo back in August.
Now, Netflix releases the trailer for Senior Year, which showsWilson's character Stephanie waking up from a 20-year-long coma after a cheerleading accident. In Senior Year, Stephanie attempts to finish high school, relive her glory days, and cope with life being drastically different. Featuring Wilson donning attire from 2002, the trailer reveals going back to school won’t be as easy as Stephanie thinks. Check out the trailer below:

Senior Year also stars Alicia Silverstone, Justin Hartley, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Mary Holland, Angourie Rice, and Chris Parnell. Indeed, Senior Year appears to be a delightful, breezy watch that Never Been Kissed and 13 Going on 30 fans are certain to enjoy. Wilson will no doubt add her unconventional touch, charm, and impeccable comedic timing to the new film. Senior Year starts streaming on Netflix on May 13.
