Sega has announced a second mini Sega Genesis which comes with its own lineup of games separate from the initial release.
The Sega Genesis Mini 2 joins the ranks of several existing mini consoles like the Nintendo Classic consoles which are expected to continue, PlayStation Classic, and 2019's initial Genesis Mini. While the original Genesis Mini came packaged with classics like Golden Axe, Kid Chameleon, and Sonic the Hedgehog, the Sega Genesis Mini 2 will offer new Genesis titles, and it will also include Sega CD games, furthering the potential of the upcoming mini console.

Sega has also stated that the Genesis Mini 2 will offer a never-released bonus game that may not be unveiled until the launch of the Sega Genesis Mini 2 on October 27.
