While adventuring on islands and Skeleton Forts, you'll encounter skeletons in many forms. One of the most common types of these creatures is a variant that holds a Gunpowder Barrel and runs at you while igniting it. You can encounter these enemies among groups of other skeletons during Order Of Souls voyages, while exploring islands, and during active Skeleton Fort events.
If you see a skeleton holding a Gunpowder Barrel, don't approach it. Instead, equip the Eye Of Reach or Flintlock and shoot the skeleton from behind until it dies. Shooting the skeleton in the back will ensure that the Gunpowder Barrel doesn't explode, and you can pick it up after defeating the enemy.
Skeleton Forts are a special type of island that hosts a world event when active. They often have the word "fort" in their name on the map, and they have wooden watchtowers surrounding their coast. If a Skeleton Fort is active, then you can find its direction by looking into the sky and following the skull-shaped cloud.
