One of Bandai Namco's latest games is last year's Scarlet Nexus, which is deeply rooted in Japanese culture while incorporating various cyberpunk sci-fi elements. While most of the plot threads within Scarlet Nexus were tied together by the end, there is still some room for a follow-up. While the publisher hasn't announced plans for a sequel, Game Director Kenji Anabuki believes that there is potential for another game.
With Scarlet Nexus being a brand-new IP for Bandai Namco, the fact it launched to both critical and commercial success has helped it stand out. Anabuki commented on the impact that Scarlet Nexus had when brought to Xbox Game Pass in an interview with Inverse. He stated that the service gave Scarlet Nexus a boost in recognition and was a big factor in increased sales of the game and its DLC. With this in mind, Anabuki shared some of his ideas he had for a future game.

One of these things was the game's cutscenes, where he'd wish to enhance the quality of the comic book-like presentation they had, while keeping them unique. Another aspect that he would want to explore would be the usage of Scarlet Nexus' superpowers, and how a potential sequel could benefit from it.
Anabuki goes further into ideas about a Scarlet Nexus sequel, specifically the characters' psionic abilities.
