First announced to be coming to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack service last year, it's finally been confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask will arrive on February 25. The news was confirmed in a new trailer on the official Nintendo YouTube channel, giving a taste of what fans new and old will experience when the game becomes available. Nintendo has been gradually adding new N64 games to the Expansion Pack, with Paper Mario and Banjo-Kazooie also recently arriving on the service.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is a direct sequel to Zelda: Ocarina of Time which is also available through NSO, and exists in the timeline where young Link was sent back in time by Princess Zelda. Link arrives in the realm of Termina, which is three days away from being crushed by the moon colliding with the world. Fortunately, Link gains the ability to rewind time, and must seek a way to break the cycle and save Termina. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is recognized as one of the best games in the series, and it's a worthwhile addition to the Expansion Pack. Fans are hoping that it avoids The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's emulation issues, which had to be fixed with post-launch updates.
