State Bank of India (SBI) has notified its millions of users across the country to link their PAN card with their Aadhaar card before March 31, 2022. The bank has cautioned the users to do the necessary before the due date or else their banking service could get affected.
SBI shared the info through a tweet as they wrote, “We advise our customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience and continue enjoying a seamless banking service.”
The bank in its official statement said that according to the section 139AA of the Income Tax Act 1961, it is mandatory to link Aadhaar number with Permanent Account Number (PAN) by 31st March 2022. Failing to do so will make PAN provided by users to SBI card inoperative from April 1, 2022. Hence, users must link their PAN to Aadhaar card before the due date to enjoy uninterrupted services on your credit card.
