For many gaming fans, a showcase is the event that will lead to a large generation of hype. New titles are revealed, existing games are shown new content, and there's usually something to excite everyone at a given display of the gaming industry's immediate future. With E3 not happening this year, a lot of gamers are looking to the platform owners and other large companies to deliver some big announcements. So far, it seems like the Xbox and Bethesda showcase will have a few interesting games to look forward to, but now it seems a Nintendo show may also be on the way.
This report comes from Emily Rogers, the person who leaked a lot of information about the Nintendo Switch and has been known to be a fairly reliable leaker. In a forum post, she asked whether there were any fans of indie games. While this may seem like an unrelated post about Nintendo and indie games, the last time Rogers spoke about an Indie World showcase in December, it was announced shortly after.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Trends Following Nintendo Indie World Showcase
This has led some to believe that there will be a Nintendo Indie World showcase sometime soon, perhaps even this week. As mentioned, the last time Nintendo hosted an indie showcase was in December 2021, and it featured some interesting announcements, such as Endling: Extinction is Forever and OMORI. Notably though, Hollow Knight: Silksong, the sequel to the 2017 hit,did not appear at Nintendo's December showcase.
This led fans to speculate whether it will appear at a new showcase. Some are holding out hope that the game currently without a release date will show itself off soon, while others think that an Indie World showcase would be too small of an event for Hollow Knight: Silksong now, and
