There's been a lot of hype for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Acting similarly to how 2019's Modern Warfare was a reboot of the original game, Modern Warfare 2 will also build on elements from the 2009 title. For example, the infamous No Russian mission from Modern Warfare 2 will again be making an appearance, except this time the campaign level will be even more disturbing than its original version. Of course, this is but one among many changes and updates the remastered Modern Warfare 2 will bring when it launches later this year.
Eager fans are hoping they won't have to wait until the official launch date to be able to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and rumors of a beta have been circulating ever since Activision first unveiled the shooter. Previously, it was rumored via an Amazon leak that the Modern Warfare 2 beta could be arriving as early as August 2022. However, since that leak dropped another prominent leaker has given their own opinion on when players will get their hands on an early version of Modern Warfare 2.

According to RalphValves, who has had his claims backed up via Tom Henderson on Twitter, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta will be coming in September, not August. These claims were backed up with a proposed roadmap for the beta, which would see it begin as a PlayStation Exclusive with Early Access starting on September 15th before the Open Beta drops on September 17th. For cross-play, the open beta would begin on September 24th and end by the 26th.
