First-time players and old fans ready to experience Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered again only have to wait until December 1 to get their hands on the latest version of the classic fantasy game after Square Enix gave its release date during September's Nintendo Direct. Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered was announced earlier this year, and now fans of the Romancing SaGa series can finally set their sights on the day they can enter an HD version of the world of Mardias.
Fantasy RPG fanswill have a variety of platform choices to start or re-start their adventure on as the game is releasing on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and Switch. Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered is offering users a variety of playability improvements such as a high speed mode, new classes and characters, and even a 'New Game +' option to carry completed progress into the next playthrough.

The new remaster brings back the 'Glimmer' and 'Combo' systems allowing characters to learn new abilities during battles, as well as the series' Free Form Scenario system that changes the story based on how the game is played. Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered is part of Square Enix's ongoing SaGa Project, which has released other games in the series such as Romancing SaGa 3, SaGa Frontier Remastered, and SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions.
Originally released exclusively in Japan for the Super Famicom in 1992 as Romancing SaGa, Square Enix added the 'Minstrel Song' subtitle for the Japanese PS2 remake in 2005 but dropped the subtitle for its Western release that same year.
