Easy.gg, the studio behind two of the most played games on Roblox, announced on August 13 that it will be removing Rift Royale from the virtual world. The developers cited problems with cheaters as the reason for the removal.
This is the second time said development team has decided to pull a game from the site. They shut Prop Hunt down just a few weeks after its launch earlier this year. But, instead of blaming unfair play, the team simply stated that they were dissatisfied with the overall quality of the game.

A Discord user named Liam explained the sudden closure in an announcement titled "Rift prototype is closed," which was first reported by the Roblox RTC Twitter account.
“Sadly, Rift doesn’t work on Roblox,” it states. “We spent a lot of effort trying to work within Roblox’s restrictions to create an awesome competitive game. Unfortunately what we want to do isn’t possible on Roblox. Roblox forces us to choose between having cheaters or being laggy. We’re going to focus on building games everyone can enjoy.”
The Fortnite-inspired title launched in May this year, and went into public beta in June. The game received over 76,000 likes and 21 million plays while available Sadly, a multitude of dishonest players joined in as well.
Several websites selling game hacks, such as aimbot and wall hack scripts, can be found if looked up on Google.
Cheating in Roblox games seems to be a problem that developers are still trying to solve. It appears Easy.gg has experienced many of the same issues Hutch, a Roblox developer, encountered when attempting to create a competitive game on the platform.
