Nintendo Switch and horror fans will be pleased as during today's Direct showcase it was revealed that Capcom's super successful eighth main installment in the Resident Evil series is coming to the super successful hybrid console.
Resident Evil Village Cloud is a port of the game that will be playable on the Nintendo Switch via the cloud. As such, it'll be available only in areas where cloud serivces are provided. But there is a free cloud demo for Switch owners to try out to see if the game would run successfully via their Internet connections.

Resident Evil Village Cloud looks like a faithful port, and you can check out how well the visuals and performance seems to hold up in the announcement trailer below.
The Winters' Expansion pack, which includes third-person mode and new Story DLC, is also set to release on December 2. In addition, cloud versions of the remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 Biohazard are in development for the Nintendo Switch and are planned for release later this year.
For those wanting to get their orders in early, Nintendo has this disclaimer: "Players may pre-order or purchase the full game only after successfully testing their internet connections with the cloud demo".
