Capcom's surprise announcement of Resident Evil 4 Remake during Sony's latest State of Play showcase has sent fans of the series into a tizzy, yet the publisher is gearing up to show us even more at its recently announced Capcom Showcase which will take place next week.
Revealed via the official Resident Evil Twitter account, Capcom has promised to give us a "fresh new look" at Resident Evil 4 Remake, although refrains from telling us whether we'll see any gameplay or not. Capcom accompanied this announcement with a very short teaser video for the event, compiled of multiple very short clips that seem to back up earlier reports that the remake will be going for a darker tone than the original.

If you're wanting a closer look at the game, the Capcom Showcase will take place next week on June 13 at 3PM PDT/ 11PM BST. The publisher has several titles in the works that could appear, including Street Fighter 6 which was revealed alongside Resident Evil 4 Remake at the State of Play showcase. Don't be expecting any new reveals though, as Capcom has clarified the show will focus on pre-announced titles that are already known about.
But even though we won't get any new announcements, it's still shaping up to be a pretty exciting show for Resident Evil fans. Alongside more footage of Resident Evil 4 Remake, the next-gen upgrades for Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 could also shadow drop during the show, as the file sizes for each game's PS5 version have been found on the PSN backend.
