Throughout the course of Red Dead Redemption 2, players spend a great deal of time with the various members of the Van der Linde gang as Arthur Morgan, learning their personalities, backstories, and their ultimate fates by the time the credits roll. One of the Van der Linde gang members that Red Dead Redemption 2 players interact with is Bill Williamson, a returning character from the original Red Dead Redemption.
Due to Bill's appearance, it's safe to say that many Red Dead Redemption 2 players would assume that he's one of the older members of the Van der Linde gang. Bill has lived a rough life by the time of Red Dead Redemption 2's events, and that trauma combined with his alcoholism has given him an especially rugged appearance. But despite the fact that Bill looks older than Arthur Morgan at first glance, Arthur is actually older than Bill by a couple of years. John Marston, the protagonist of the original Red Dead Redemption game, is in his mid-20s during the events of RDR2.
