Just as the Redmi Note 11 Pro models are set to launch, Realme comes announcing its Realme 9 Pro models. This time, there’s a Realme 9 Pro+ that is set to take its game further up a notch. Realme confirmed it officially via a social media post and the leaks eventually revealed almost all of the specs and features. It seems that the Realme 9 Pro+ will take the game to the recently announced Xiaomi 11i series.
This year, there will be a regular Realme 9 Pro and a beefed-up Realme 9 Pro+. Leaked renders reveal identical design for both but it is the internals that will vary. The leaks, which are revealed by OnLeaks and Smartprix, show a design identical to the current Realme GT Neo 2. The specs reveal a more powerful processor and a better image sensor for the Pro+ variant.
Realme will be reserving the Snapdragon 695 chip for the standard Realme 9 Pro whereas the Realme 9 Pro+ will get the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chip. Realme will reserve a 6.5-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz for the regular models whereas the Realme 9 Pro+ will get a smaller 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 90Hz of refresh rate.
Weirdly, the Realme 9 Pro+ will have a smaller 4500mAh battery when compared to the 5000mAh battery on the Realme 9 Pro. That said, the Pro+ will get a 65W charging solution whereas the lesser model will have to make do with 33W.
The biggest upgrade seems to be with the cameras. The Pro+ will get a 50MP custom Sony camera sensor with optical image stabilisation – a feature seldom seen in this price range. This will be accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP camera. A 16MP selfie camera will sit inside the display cutout.
It seems that the Pro versions of the Realme 9 are setto take the game to the Redmi Note 11 Pro
