Quentin Tarantino’s movie theater, the historic New Beverly Cinema, is scheduled to screen Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on 35MM film. The follow-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home, Multiverse of Madness will release in theaters on May 6th, and anticipation for the sequel is high. Piggybacking off of Phase 4’s No Way Home as well as Disney+'s WandaVision, Loki, and What If…?, Multiverse of Madness—as its title implies—is poised to delve deeper into the MCU’s multiverse than ever before.
The film will see Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor all reprise their roles from 2016’s Doctor Strange. They are joined by Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Xochitl Gomez making her MCU debut as the universe-jumping America Chavez. With a script by Loki creator Michael Waldron, Multiverse of Madness follow its titular hero, Sorcerer Supreme Wong, Scarlet Witch, and America Chavez as they combat multiversal threats that may/may not include alternate versions of themselves.
