Next month, PUBG: Battlegrounds is getting a thematic crossover event based on the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Cooperation between KRAFTON and Ubisoft sounds quite reasonable given both companies' prominence in the industry. This is especially true considering that the previous PUBG collaboration with a different company was rather strange.
In May, PUBG Mobile revealed an unlikely partnership with Pinkfong, a children’s educational brand. Besides adding a plethora of Pinkfong-themed cosmetic items to the game, developers also shared a music video inspired by the viral Baby Shark song. In it, the battle royale’s characters are portrayed as a cartoonish treasure squad, which sounds far more relaxing and child-friendly than the actual gameplay of the popular mobile shooter.

As revealed by KRAFTON, PUBG: Battlegrounds is getting an Assassin’s Creed-themed crossover event this August. Thanks to a collaboration with Ubisoft, the popular battle royale title will collide with the world of Assassins and Templars, offering players a variety of cosmetic items to acquire and redesigned map areas to explore. The main focus is adding multiple new skins to the free-to-play PUBG game, including a couple of costume sets, backpacks, parachutes, emotes, and gun charms. On top of that, Abstergo Corporation will take over one of the buildings on the Haven map. There, players will discover an Animus machine and “strategically placed” ledges to perform the famous leap of faith. Additionally, PUBG: New State will also benefit from a separate crossover event, introducing over 30 Assassin’s Creed-themed costumes, weapon skins, vehicle skins, and other cosmetic items.
