PS Plus Premium is just over two weeks from launch in the US, and while there was a pricing scare for upgrading PS Plus Extra and Premium in Asia, Sony has revealed that it was an error. It has been fixed, but it’s a good thing if North American, European, and Japanese fans are watching what’s happening elsewhere. It means they know what to expect when it releases in these territories, with North America getting the service specifically on June 13.
Because of this, several details have appeared online for PS Plus Premium, including PS1 games like Dino Crisis. What’s more, many fans are excited to see these classic PS1 and other titles getting Trophy support on PS4 and PS5. These only incentivize trophy hunters to play these older games even more, but it should be noted that not all classic games on PS Plus Premium will have trophy support.
PS Plus Classics Update Causes Video Issues
Sony recently confirmed that PS1 and PSP trophy support is up to the developer of the games, so it stands to reason that some PS1 classics will have trophies while others will not. There’s a strong case to have trophies in allPS Plus Premium titles, but at the same time, these developers are likely busy with more contemporary projects. Still, luckily, fans know some games that will launch with trophies, namely Ape Escape, Hot Shots Golf, I.Q.: Intelligent Qube, Syphon Filter, and Wild Arms.
Again, it’s likely more will be confirmed in the coming weeks, but at the latest, they will be revealed with the launch of PS Plus Premium in local territories. These are the trophies fans can expect from each of these classic titles.
