March has proven to be a busy month for PS Plus so far. Obviously, there were the PS Plus free games for March 2022 that were released, but several new details about its upcoming upgrade in June were also revealed. Persona 5 is even leaving the PS Plus collection, among other reveals and whatnot over the pat few days. Of course, on top of everything, the PS Plus free games for April 2022 were revealed.
It’s hard to say yet how these will be fully received by fans, but the three games are Hood: Outlaws and Legends (PS4/PS5), SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated (PS4), and Slay the Spire (PS4). They will be available from April 5 to May 2, but for those who may be a little unclear about what these PS Plus games are, here’s what they need to know.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a multiplayer action game, featuring no real story. The game is highly influenced by the stories of Robin Hood and features players competing against one another to secure as much gold as possible. The standard game mode features three primary phases: stealing the key from the Sheriff of Nottingham, stealthing around and making their way to the vault, acquiring a treasure, and eventually reaching an extraction point—again, all through the eyes of a Robin Hood-esque adventure. There’s also a PvE mode called State Heist, which puts players into a more cooperative PvE environment.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for a Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is a remake of a nostalgic game for fans of the Nickelodeon show.
