Following months of rumors, leaks, and speculation, Sony finally pulled the curtain back on its revamped PlayStation Plus service. Starting sometime in June, Sony will be combining its PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now services, offering three different tiers to subscribers. The first new PlayStation Plus tier is PlayStation Plus Essential, which costs the same as the current service and offers the same benefits. Then there's PS Plus Extra ($14.99 per month/$99.99 per year), which adds up to 400 PS4 and PS5 games, and PS Plus Premium ($17.99 per month/$119.99 per year), which adds 340 additional games from the PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 generations.
Sony stopped short of revealing all the classic games that will be coming to these new PS Plus tiers, but it did shed some light on some of the bigger blockbuster PS4 and PS5 games that will be available for the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium tiers at launch. In fact, Sony has confirmed six big games that PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will be able to check out when the service launches in June.

As announced by PlayStation, PS Plus Extra and Premium will include Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal at launch. It was mentioned that these titles will be «regularly refreshed,» which indicates that they will be rotated in and out with other games, so subscribers to these new PS Plus tiers should keep that in mind.
Regardless, that's quite the impressive lineup of games that PS Plus Extra and Premium are launching with, and they should keep subscribers plenty busy. They also seem to be somewhat strategically chosen, as God of War has a sequel
