Highest PS Plus Tier Will Include Over 700 Games at Launch

Sony recently pulled the curtain back on its long-rumored PlayStation Plus revamp. Starting at some point in June, PlayStation Plus will have three tiers for subscribers to choose from. The basic PlayStation Plus Essential tier will offer PS Plus services as they exist today, while PlayStation Plus Extra basically combines PS Plus with PlayStation Now. The highest-tier is PlayStation Plus Premium, and it will offer gamers hundreds of extra games to choose from.

Those that sign up for PS Plus Extra will have access to «up to 400» PS4 and PS5 games, including some heavy hitters. Sony has confirmed six games that will be available to PS Plus Extra subscribers at launch in the form of Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal, with these games and more also available to PS Plus Premium subscribers.

PS Plus Extra will cost $14.99 per month, $39.99 per quarter, or $99.99 per year. PlayStation Plus Premium, meanwhile, costs $17.99 per month, $49.99 per quarter, or $119.99 per year. It includes all the benefits that come with PS Plus Extra, but it also gives subscribers access to a sizable roster of retro games as well from the PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 eras. Sony has said that PS Plus Premium will add «up to 340 additional games.» This means that PlayStation Plus Premium is going to launch with over 700 games at launch.
