Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown may not have been the commercial hit that it should have been based on just how good it turned out to be, but Ubisoft isn’t done with the acclaimed Metroidvania action-adventure title yet. In June, the company announced that its first and only paid story DLC, Mask of Darkness, would be releasing sometime in September, and though a specific release date has been unknown so far it seems that might be about to change soon.
Taking to Twitter, Ubisoft recently showcased a sneak peak of the upcoming expansion. A short clip shows a blood-red moon looking over a ruined, ominous environment, before it gets hidden in an eclipse and a creepy looking giant hand appears in the sky and grabs it. There isn’t much else that’s shown, but one would imagine that Ubisoft is gearing up for a wider reveal of the expansion, presumably along with a specific release date announcement, especially with the DLD due out this month itself.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Read our review of the base game through here.
