Pokemon Sword & Shield Distribution Event For Genesect, Volcanion, And Marshadow Live In Europe
Good news Pokemon fans, starting tomorrow European players can go to participating stores to get their hands on codes for the mythical 'mons Genesect, Volcanion, and Marshadow. They'll be available to download into your copy of Sword or Shield.
As reported by Serebii, players in the UK should head to Game, those in France should go to Micromania, and people in the Netherlands and Belgium should check in at GameMania. You'll get codes for all three 'mons on one code card, so don't lose it.

Mythical Pokemon were recently allowed in the upcoming Series 13 of competitive VGC, so these three could see use on tournament teams. Competitive teams could become a lot more magical in the near future.
There's also a new Pokemon Sword & Shield competition to take part in. This one is the Champion League, a single battle format where only 'mons used by Champions of the various games can be used. Expect to see a lot of Marvel Scale Dragonites. Registration is open now to September 22 and battles will run between September 23 and 25.
In other Pokemon news, the latest trailer for upcoming Scarlet & Violet just dropped, revealing two of the three main story paths for the game, as well as the colossal Titan pokemon. These are similar to Totem and Alpha Pokemon seen in Gen 7 and Legends: Arceus.
The Legend Path will involve tracking down these Titans and taking the mysterious Herba Mystica. We don't know what it is yet, but we know we want it. There's also the standard Pokemon League challenge, and an as-yet-unidentified third path. There's also a new rival team, Team Star, a bunch of school-age miscreants.
