Pokemon Legends: Arceus players have two locations to encounter some wild Hippopotas. The first place is Crimson Mirelands, which players will eventually get to by completing Missions. Look for Hippopotas in the Sludge Mound and Scarlet Bog habitats. Hippopotas can typically be found swimming around the small pools of muddy water, just west of the Bogbound Campsite. Their favorite foods are Honey, Grains, and Beans, so try to lure the Hippopotas away so that players can throw a Poke Ball at its back to get a better shot at catching it.
Hippopotas can also be found in the Coronet Highlands, specifically at Celestica Trail, but players won't unlock that area until further in the storyline.
