Pokémon Legends: Arceus has more than 240 Pokémon for players to find and catch, and one of the more interesting evolution lines to find is Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z. The Porygon line is known for being among the few man-made Pokémon in the franchise lore, and it's also the only evolution line that has traditionally required players to trade twice to evolve them. In past games, players would need to trade Porygon while it was holding the Upgrade to evolve it into Porygon2 and trade Porygon2 while holding the Dubious Disc to evolve it into Porygon-Z.
Since Pokémon Legends: Arceus does not allow players to use held items but includes the aforementioned held items anyway, in-game mechanics have reworked the Upgrade and Dubious Disc. Like the Dawn Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can simply use the Upgrade item on Porygon to evolve it into Porygon2, and the Dubious Disc on Porygon2 to evolve it into Porygon-Z. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Arceus has made acquiring both of these items much easier than they have in past games as well.
