Pokemon Legends: Arceus has captured the attention of many Pokemon fans in the weeks since its release. Featuring many firsts for the Pokemon franchise, Pokemon Legends: Arceus did not only create a vast amount of hype, but it also managed to turn that hype into sales. As a matter of fact, Pokemon Legends: Arceus managed to break sales records in its first days of being available. As an open-world experience that many fans of the series had wanted for some time, it's unsurprising that it has managed to gain such popularity.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus offers more than just the open-world experience in differing from previous mainline titles though. With new Hisuian forms of Pokemon and a historical version of the Sinnoh region to explore, Pokemon Legends: Arceus has plenty of reasons for fans to keep playing after initially picking up the game. An open-world and exploration means that sometimes Pokemon players are going to stumble upon things that perhaps they weren't meant to see.

One player, who posted their short clip to Reddit, was innocently looking at their Togetic Pokemon when in the background the sun just disappears. This doesn't at first appear to be a glitch or the day/night cycle changing, as the game remains in daytime and the sun's disappearance even has a small shrinking animation. Other Pokemon Legends: Arceus players were quick to point out theories of what could be happening.
Many players relate the sun to the Gen 7 legendary Pokemon Solgaleo, which is supposedly the beast that devours the sun in Pokemon lore. Some even joked that the sun's disappearance could be a set-up for a Pokemon Legends sequel featuring the Gen 7
