The upcoming Lush Jungle event in Pokémon GO will debut new Pokémon for the mobile game and offer the chance to catch jungle-themed Bug and Grass-type species. Pokémon GO has started 2022 off with a number of exciting events and Community Days, including the Johto Tour in February, and has added a large number of new Pokémon through the Season of Alola long-term event currently active in the game. The fast-paced content could be a great way to get fatigued players back into everyday Pokémon adventures.
The wave of new content comes at a good time for Pokémon GO, which has seen struggles due to both microtransactions and the Covid-19 pandemic in recent years. The game, which was originally designed to promote exercise and encourage fans to come together in local communities, made big changes to stay relevant during a time when large gatherings weren't safe. However, many of those changes required players to spend money on items like Remote Raid Passes and basic items once earned from walking around during events to fully participate in gameplay.

According to Pokémon Go Live, the Lush Jungle event will be taking place from 10 AM March 22, 2022, to 8 PM March 29, 2022 local time. During the event, players will be able to encounter Tapu Lele, Fomantis, and Lurantis for the first time in Pokémon GO. Fomantis will be appearing in the wild, while Tapu Lele will feature in Five-Star Raid Battles. Unfortunately, none of the new Pokémon will be available to catch as Shiny, though it is likely their Shiny variations will be introduced at a later time.
