Pokémon Go: How to Find (& Catch) Tapu Bulu (Spring Into Spring)
In Pokémon Go, players can find and catch the Alolan legendary Pokémon Tapu Bulu during the Spring Into Spring event. This event will begin on April 12, 2022 and end on April 18, 2022. During this window, players will encounter Tapu Bulu in five-star raids. Tapu Bulu is the next featured Pokémon in a set of Pokémon protecting Ula'ula island, alongside Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini. Players already had opportunities to catch Tapu Koko and Tapu Lele in Pokémon Go in five-star raids, and Tapu Fini is likely to be featured after Tapu Bulu. This set of Pokémon is visually identifiable by their large hats or headpieces and only two visible limbs.
Players should note that Tapu Bulu is a Grass/Fairy-type. Accordingly, the most effective counter against this legendary Pokémon is Poison-type moves, which will deal four times the damage since both Grass and Fairy are weak to Poison. Some of the best Pokémon who can learn powerful Poison-type moves are Roserade, Mega Beedrill, Mega Gengar, Mega Venusaur, and Toxicroak. Additionally, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Steel-type moves will also be super effective against Tapu Bulu in Pokémon Go.

In a raid against Tapu Bulu, players should avoid Dark, Dragon, Electric, Fighting, Grass, Ground, and Water-type Pokémon, as Tapu Bulu's Grass/Fairy-type is resistant to them. Accordingly, some traditionally powerful raid Pokémon like Blastoise, Dragonite, Lucario, Umbreon, and Absol will not be effective in this fight. Because five-star raids only allow players a short window to defeat the boss, players will want to prioritize super effective moves.
