The GO Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally is happening right now in Pokémon Go. To act as the final event before the upcoming Johto Tour, this event is a great chance for trainers to earn a bunch of free items. The Johto Tour is a massive event happening later this month where players are able to capture every Pokémon from the Johto region. Trainers will be given a long list of objectives to clear out during the day and a new Masterworks Research that's meant to be completed over several weeks. Johto Tour is one of the biggest events to happen in Pokémon Go and the GO Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally is its appetizer.
The GO Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally will take place from Friday, February 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Friday, February 25, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this time, trainers will be able to clear research tasks to earn more Poké Balls. Not only that, but it's possible to capture Pokémon like Hisuian Voltorb and evolve it into Hisuian Electrode. While Hisuian Voltorb has been in the game since the official release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Hisuian Electrode is brand new. The only way to obtain one is by giving Hisuian Voltorb 50 candy to get it to evolve.

Outside of focusing on collecting items and more Hisuian Voltorbs, this event changes the spawn rate of a handful of Pokémon. It's a great opportunity to catch any Pokémon that the player might be missing for this Pokédex. Since this Pokémon Go event is so focused on collecting Poké Balls, only the wild Pokémon encounters have been changed. Raid Battles and Mega Raids are still the same for the rest of the Season of Heritage.
These are the Pokémon that can be found during the GO Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally.
