Pokemon Go Alola Season: Niantic, the company behind Pokemon Go, has started the new Alola season today. With this update, Pokemon Go will finally include the Alola region from the Pokemon Sun and Moon edition. The new season also marks the end of the Johto season that added new Pokemon from the Gold and Silver edition including Eevee, Poliwhirl, Totodile, Umbreon, Golbat and more. Now in this new season, players will get the opportunity to catch Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Tapu Koko, Rockruff, Pikipek, and Jangmo-o. The new tropical season of Alola starts on March 1, 2022. One of the main attractions of the season will be the Tropical Collection Challenge where players will get a chance to catch and collect Alola specific Pokemon in the game. Once a player has captured all the new Pokemon, they would be rewarded with 7,000 XP and 15 Ultra Balls. Additionally, they will also inch towards their elite collector medal.
Apart from the main challenge, there are also other events which will be taking place simultaneously. There will be one-star, three-star, five-star and mega raids where players will have to catch specific Pokemon. For the event, some of the Pokemon will appear in their Alolan avatar and will serve as a nice collectible. There are also field research tasks like previous seasons that players will have to participate in. Finally, there is a shiny Yungoos roaming around and if you’re lucky, you may just catch it!
