The Pokemon community is full of talented fans that seemingly never stop designing new and often impressive artwork based on the pocket monsters featured in the games. From a picture that reimagined Lucario as a Mech to a custom neon light featuring Haunter, there is no shortage of creations made by the community. Among the Pokemon often starring in fan art is the Ghost/Poison-type known as Gengar.
As part of the original Gen 1 Pokedex, Gengar has been a part of the franchise from the beginning. It has a purple coloration and round body, along with a set of spikes on its back, giving it an ominous appearance. While Gengar might feature one of the spookier designs in the world of Pokemon, one fan decided to try and make it even creepier.
Pokemon Fan Designs Venom Version of Pikachu
Taking to Reddit, a user by the name of scrazyone1 shared a picture of Gengar from the Pokemon series. While gamers have made numerous pieces of fan art based on this Ghost/Poison-type Pokemon in the past, this particular image stood out for one reason: the artist gave Gengar a Venom-themed design.
Impressively, scrazyone1 managed to copy many of the iconic details of the famous symbiote from the Marvel universe. In the image, the Reddit user created several different looks for Gengar. The top left of the picture showed the Pokemon in its standard form, while the top right portion revealed it transforming into a Venom version. Meanwhile, the bottom of the image showed the full Venom design, complete with the Marvel antihero’s iconic long tongue and rows of razor-sharp teeth.
