With each generation of games, the amount of Pokemon in the Pokemon series gets larger and larger. Impressively, there are now around 900 different species of pocket monsters, and that number looks to only grow as the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games are expected to release later this year. While new additions to the series get many fans excited, a lot of Pokemon already seen in the games are popular, such as Spheal.
Spheal is an Ice/Water-type Pokemon first added to the series back in Gen 3. As the name suggests, this Pokemon is based on the real-life design of a seal and has many of the same features. For example, it has a set of flippers used for traveling through water. Due to its cute appearance, Spheal has become popular with many gamers.
