Pokemon Fans Point Out How Mean the Pokedex is to Magikarp
For anyone not in the know, the Bass Pro Shop is a company that has existed since the 1970s in the United States. It specializes in fishing and hunting apparel, equipment, and merchandise, and sports a prominent logo of a bass fish leaping out of the water next to the title of the store. It's well-known among sport and fishing enthusiasts, so it's easy to imagine Pokemon fishers running to their local shop equivalent to stock up on necessary supplies.
Redditor rgund27 has brought this concept a little closer to reality by creating a new logo for 'Karp Pro Shop' with an image of the Pokemon Magikarp taking the place of the original bass. Rgund27 explained that they took apart the text of the original sign in order to construct the new Magikarp variant. The result is a replica that's practically identical, with the Magikarp leaping out of the water at a similar angle to the original bass.
