The Pokemon series sees some changes being made whenever new entries are released. New Types have been added, quality-of-life adjustments have been implemented, and mechanics such as Mega Evolution were featured in certain games. While a lot has stayed the same about Game Freak's RPG franchise, every Pokemon game makes certain changes to help players enjoy the latest versions.
One change that was put in the games not too long ago was regional variants. The first games to have regional variants were Pokemon Sun and Moon, which took existing pocket monsters and changed their Typing, Ability, and move set. Regional variations were carried into Sword and Shield and may be in Scarlet and Violet. Since the forms were introduced, gamers have been coming up with their own, leading to interesting ideas that can shake up older creatures and make them more relevant today.

An artist known as Magikapow came up with regional variants of Trubbish and its evolution Garbodor. While the Pokemon were originally based off of trash bags, Magikapow's are inspired by plastic shopping bags. Trubbish is an upside down bag with two handles and ears coming off of it, while Garbodor is a much larger bag with multiple handles and has blown out ears where fumes now shoot out of. The Pokemon are still Poison-Type, but were given the secondary Flying-Type by Magikapow, which could be a reference to plastic bags blowing in the wind.
