Pokemon boasts one of the most fiercely dedicated and creative fanbases of any franchise, video game or otherwise. Fans are constantly posting their own customized creations online, spanning across the numerous generations and hundreds of Pokemon. However, the original generation holds a special place in many people's hearts, including the original Kanto region starters: Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander.
Unfortunately, none of the three starters are available in the long-running video game series' latest entry, Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Developer Game Freak has instead opted for a more eclectic mix in the form of Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott. While all Pokemon games normally allow players to choose only one starter, there is a way to get all three of Pokemon Legends: Arceus' starters.

Posted onto r/Pokemon, a user by the handle of u/AstronomicalArtisan is going viral for their adorable crocheted versions of Kanto region starters Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. All three depictions are executed accurately, with each Pokemon crafted in an upright sitting position. Each one of the crocheted creations is holding a Pokeball in its hands minus Bulbasaur, who is creatively clutching the iconic object with its vines. Shot during a snowy day, the images' backgrounds provide great contrast and make each of the Pokemon's distinct colors pop.
Fans have been quick to compliment the creator, as well as chime in on which of the original three starters they think is best.
