A Pokemon fan is receiving praise after sharing an incredible hand-carved wood statue of the iconic Charizard they created. When it comes to woodworking, most people's experience likely only goes as far as a woodshop class in high school. One fan, however, has clearly honed their skills to a highly professional level, creating an extremely impressive rendition of the Pokemon.
Easily one of the most recognizable Pokemon in the history of the franchise, Charizard is a first generation Fire/Flying dual-type, and is arguably the most common favorite among fans new and old. In addition to its universally appealing design of essentially being a fire-breathing dragon, the creature became even more popular via the anime, where Ash's famously disobedient Charizard would refuse to listen to direction, causing numerous humorous problems.

While unclear, it appears that the carving may have been done out of one single piece of wood, making it all the more impressive.
