A brand-new game, The Plucky Squire, has been revealed during Summer Game Fest with a new trailer, and it looks like it's straight out of Andy's room in Toy Story. During this year's Devolver Digital Showcase a few new games were announced by the publisher. These games range in style and tone and each one was different than the next, but all of the games featured had something interesting to bring to the table.
The Plucky Squire will be the first game from a brand new studio, All Possible Futures. All Possible Futures was founded by James Turner, designer of Pokémon and art director of Pokémon Sword and Shield, and Johnathan Biddle, developer of Swords of Ditto and Stealth Inc. With the experience under their belts they decided to create All Possible Futures to bring new and exciting games to the table. With the success of PokémonSword and Shield, the second best-selling Pokémon games, it was surprising news when Turner announced that he was leaving Game Freak. Even more surprising was the announcement of the brand-new studio and game he created coming out on the same day he announced his departure.

Revealed as part of Summer Game Fest and later shared to Devolver Digital's YouTube Channel, the trailer for The Plucky Squire unveils a side-scrolling/platforming action-adventure game from All Possible Futures. The Plucky Squire follows the adventures of Jot, and takes him from the page to the 3D world in the blink of an eye. The trailer showcases Jot battling characters in a 2D format and also shows off some other familiar gameplay mechanics, like puzzle-solving aspects, similar to 2021's Game of the Year It Takes Two, and even a boxing
