Controllers are always ripe for debate whenever a new one hits the market. Some designs are so innovative- and perhaps a little too innovative in some cases – that they are talked about for years after. Nintendo 64 owners will never stop arguing over whether the console's controller was the result of a designer's fever dream or a stroke of genius, and right now people quite rightly continue to fawn over the PS5's DualSense.
The Switch's Joy-Con have also been discussed frequently since shortly after the console launched five years ago, usually for reasons Nintendo would rather you didn't focus on. While this latest issue isn't anything that will land Nintendo in a courtroom, Sonic fans have highlighted why the design on a recently revealed Switch Pro controller is a little unfortunate.

The controller, which is created by Hori and will launch later this year, shows the blue blur on the right-hand side sprinting towards a Sonic the Hedgehog logo. The issue with the controller is the placement of the matching blue right stick. Since the stick is a little to the left of Sonic's crotch, and the hedgehog's right leg connects with it, it makes the stick look like a rather sizable blue hedgehog appendage.
Most people probably wouldn't have noticed when first looking at the new controller. The main issue with it appears to be the overcrowding due to the Sonic and Hori logos. However, once someone points out that the layout makes Sonic look like he's flashing you, well, you won't be able to unsee it, so apologies for that.
