Just a week and a bit before Persona 5 Royal finally launches on Xbox, Switch, and PC, Atlus has confirmed that both Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will be arriving on "modern platforms" on the same day, January 19.
Earlier this year, Persona fans finally got what they'd been asking about for years - ports of Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5. When the ports were announced, Persona 5 Royal was the only one that was given a date for some reason, with the others promised to be coming a bit later down the line.

Thanks to a Tweet from Atlus, we now know that both Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will be released on January 19. Atlus didn't share any new footage of the ports, only showing off an image of the two logos next to one another, but at least now we know when to expect to play the rest of Persona on modern consoles. Oh, except for the first two, of course.
It's a little strange that Persona 3 and Persona 4 are going to be released on the same day, as the initial trailer made it seem like a more spaced-out release for the ports, but it's looking like it was just to give room for Persona 5 Royal now.
Although getting the release dates in such a straightforward way is good news, it's a bit of a strange move from Atlus. Late last month it confirmed that there wouldn't be any game announcements during the Persona 25th anniversary concert happening in November, breaking a tradition that's been around for quite some time.
