The latest entry in the long-running Bus Simulator series has arrived, and it’s opening its doors for portable passengers only.
Bus Simulator City Ride is a slick public transport sim for Switch, iOS, and Android.
It sees you picking passengers up, dropping them off, and exploring the fictional city of Havensburg in a selection of ten licensed buses.
You’ll get to drive vehicles made by Scania, Mercedes-Benz, Alexander Dennis, Vicinity Motor Corp, Setra, IVECO BUS, Volvo, BYD, Blue Bird, and MAN.
Not only that, but you’ll get to experience every type of bus. That means double deckers, electric vehicles, and those bendy buses that fold in the middle.
As fans of the series would expect, these buses all look just like the real thing. They boast detailed 3D exteriors and accurately modeled cockpits.
Your surroundings look pretty great, too. While it’s not a real place, Havensburg resembles several different cities throughout northern Europe. It’s made up of several distinct areas, too.
You’ll visit the harbor, the old town, the maritime warehouse district, and the surrounding countryside. As you progress through the story campaign you’ll unlock new districts and routes.
The main gameplay goal is to expand your public transport network until it spans the entire city, giving you access to every corner of Havensburg. This means driving like a pro and managing your business like a strategic mastermind.
But there’s more to Bus Simulator City Ride than just driving and commerce. Your passengers will talk to you, sharing their life stories through fully voice-acted dialogue. This imbues the whole experience with that all-important human touch.
If, on the other hand, you’re not in the mood to listen to passengers
