Pedro Pascal shares what it's like to wear his now-iconic helmet on The Mandalorian. Later this year, Pascal will don the beskar helmet and armor for the eagerly anticipated third season of The Mandalorian. The Disney+ show is in production on season 3, and a recent report has said it could return by Christmastime. That would be welcome news for the fans who have been waiting well over a year to pick up with Din Djarin following the hugely successful Mandalorian season 2, which aired back in the fall of 2020.
Pascal's acclaimed Star Wars show may be on hiatus, yet it has received more buzz in the past few weeks than it did throughout all of 2021. As fans wait for the arrival of The Mandalorian season 3, Disney+ opted to bridge the gap by debuting The Book of Boba Fett. The series was meant to be an exploration of bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), yet Pascal's Mandalorian stole the show near the end when he put in a surprise appearance. At least, it was Pascal's voice; behind the scenes photos showed it was his double Brandon Wayne who stood in for him during The Book of Boba Fett.

Nevertheless, Pascal has worn that familiar helmet many times, and while some might think it's a burden, he doesn't see it as such. During a recent interview with the German magazine Neelix, Pascal answered the question of whether he finds the helmet restrictive in any way. He replied no and revealed what it felt like to put it on for the first time. Pascal's translated answer is:
«No, not at all. Honestly, the moment when I put on the Mandalorian's helmet is indescribable. It sits like a glove, as if it were, like the armor, a part of me. It is not
